Getting back into more photography. I’m really rusty and I shot a show at my school called BASU. The photos were subpar to my standards and I couldn’t find many keepers in the lot of about 400 images. I tried to outdo myself from last year’s BASU but I ended up shooting in settings unsuitable for the event. I tried to achieve the sharpest images possible so I shot in very low ISO and relatively low shutter speed to retain sharpness but in hindsight, it was probably a better idea to bump up the ISO and have some noisy/grainy pictures than completely un-useable ones. This could also be because of the lack of IS on my new 24-70mm f/2.8L. This is the perfect example that good lenses don’t necessarily make good photos. I’ll take it as a lesson learned and try again next year.
Been really caught up with midterms, homework and other school work. Will start taking more photos soon, stay tuned!
